Principal's Message

Dear Santo Niño Elementary Community,

Hello, As we welcome the beauty of spring and approach the close of another successful school year, I would like to take a moment to celebrate the hard work and accomplishments of our students and staff. With TELPAS, STAAR, and other required assessments now completed, we are confident that our students have performed well, thanks to the dedication and preparation provided by our teachers throughout the year. The end of the school year brings many exciting activities across our campus, including field trips, field days, and PBIS Movie Festivals organized by our grade levels and student groups. I encourage all students to enjoy these special events while continuing to prioritize safety and uphold our campus expectations. As a proud Hornet, I ask that everyone continue demonstrating positive behavior and following our PBIS guidelines. I am happy to announce that we are currently preparing for our End-of-Year Awards Ceremonies, which will take place on May 15, May 18, and May 19. Additional details will be shared through our social media platforms and ClassDojo. We look forward to celebrating our students’ achievements with you. Thank you to our entire school community for contributing to such a meaningful and successful year. As we begin preparing for the final weeks of school, we will soon transition into planning for summer school and the opportunities it brings for continued learning. On a personal note, I would like to share that this year marks my retirement after 33 years in education. It has been a true honor and privilege to serve as the principal of Santo Niño Elementary. Returning to the campus where I once taught third grade and concluding my career in a place filled with so many cherished memories has been incredibly special. I am deeply grateful for the relationships, experiences, and support I have received throughout my journey. I hope our paths will cross again in the future. Wishing all of our students, families, and staff continued success and many wonderful years ahead. With sincere appreciation, Principal Dolores G. Flores
