Dear Santo Niño Elementary Family,

It is with great honor and excitement that I introduce myself as the Interim Principal of Santo Niño Elementary School, the proud “School of Champions”. I am truly grateful for the opportunity to serve the students, staff, parents, and community of such a respected and accomplished campus within Laredo ISD.

Santo Niño Elementary has built a strong legacy of excellence, commitment, pride, and tradition. I want you to know that I recognize and deeply respect the work that has been done to make this campus such a special place for children. My goal is not to change the heart of Santo Niño, but to honor its legacy, strengthen its traditions, and continue building upon the success that has already been established.

As your interim principal, I am committed to fully supporting our teachers, staff, students, parents, and community. I understand that strong schools are built through teamwork, trust, communication, consistency, and a shared belief that every child can succeed. I will work closely with our faculty and staff to maintain high expectations, provide meaningful support, and ensure that our students continue to receive a safe, positive, and academically strong educational experience.

I also understand the importance of tradition. The routines, celebrations, relationships, and values that make Santo Niño unique must remain strong and viable. These traditions help create a sense of belonging for our students, pride for our families, and unity among our staff. I look forward to learning more about the customs and practices that make Santo Niño special, and I will do my part to protect and support them.

To our students, I want you to know that you are the reason we are here. We believe in you, we are proud of you, and we are excited to help you grow, learn, and succeed this school year, and together we will Break any Barriers that may stand in our way.

To our teachers and staff, I want you to know that I value your dedication, professionalism, and commitment to children. I will work to support you, listen to you, and provide the guidance and resources needed for us to continue moving forward together.

To our parents and guardians, I want you to know that your partnership matters. You are an essential part of your child’s success, and I look forward to working with you through open communication, mutual respect, and a shared commitment to student achievement.

To our community, thank you for the continued support you provide to Santo Niño Elementary. A strong school depends on a strong community, and I am committed to maintaining the positive relationships that help our students thrive.

As we begin this new school year, my priorities will remain clear: student safety, strong instruction, daily attendance, positive school culture, clear communication, and continued academic excellence. Together, we will honor the past, support the present, and prepare our students for a successful future.

I am proud to join the Santo Niño Elementary family, and I look forward to a successful school year filled with learning, growth, tradition, and pride.

With respect and appreciation,

Christopher Lozano
